This weekend, I made two important decisions about my book. First, I make some preliminary decisions about my front cover. Sure it was just me taping various pictures to the front of an ordinary composition notebook, but it was thrilling all the same. I am not excited about what it is now, but what it could be. This is symbolic of what I hope this book will be, and also my life. I am a work in progress, constantly being molded by the God who loves me.
This brings up the second exciting accomplishment of this weekend. I wrote my conclusion. I made the decision of where my story needs to go. I chose a path and now I have to commit fully to it. I end this book noting how the story is far from being finished.
I am so incredibly excited about these decisions that I am offering you a sneak peak right now. Most people let you see their first chapters. Not only do you get the first look at my cover art, you get to read my final chapter.
Chapter Fourteen Choose to Be/ Conclusion
Do not worry if change does not happen right away. The hardest part of any journey is the first few steps. You can’t see where you are going or if any of it matters at all. This is where faith comes in. You will not be able to see how God is working in your life until you are able to look back. A work of redemption does not mean that you will never fail again. It means that He will always be there to help you get back up. Life will be hard, but you are not alone.
Where do we go from here? I honestly have no idea. Where your life is headed is not necessarily the same place where I am going. Well, if you believe and follow after Christ, we shall meet one day in Heaven. We can share our stories and rejoice in every good thing that brought us there. Oh what a day that will be! Short of glory, I have no idea what to do next. I just somehow find the strength to take the next step. I pray that you will find the same strength. I pray that you were encouraged and emboldened. It is my hope that you will share this with someone special in your life that you know is hurting.
While I know that I do not have all the answers, I do believe in the One who does. Choose to believe in Him. Choose love. Choose freedom. Choose faith. Choose to let it go. Choose to trust. Choose to walk beyond the heartache. Choose to share this with others around you. Choose life. Choose to pray.
Thank you for reading this until the end. Before I leave you, I have one last piece of truth to share with you:
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12
Amen.
